What is a wood fired boiler used for?

A wood-fired boiler is used to provide a heating system to a home or building. A wood-fired boiler uses burning wood to heat water that is then distributed through pipes to provide heat for radiant heating systems and forced-air heating systems.
Wood boilers are available in outdoor or dual-stage wood gasification models. Outdoor boilers are kept outdoors due to the amount of smoke they create. Dual-stage models can be kept indoors and are more efficient. They create less smoke because they contain a secondary chamber that stores smoke and gas, but they do not function correctly without using the correct type of wood.
