Math terms are commonly seen in algebra equations. Using operators, such as addition and subtraction signs, terms are grouped together to form an expression. Each number in the equation represents a single term. For example: In a straightforward arithmetic problem, the first and second numerical terms are added, subtracted or multiplied together to find the term that provides the answer to the problem.
