World Cultures is a peer-reviewed social science journal that welcomes submissions dealing with any aspect of human groups worldwide. York College in Jamaica, New York, published it twice annually until 2007 when it moved to the University of California eScholarship Repository.

Douglas White founded World Cultures in 1985, and subscriptions to the e-journal are free, as of 2015. The mission of the journal is to provide access to comparative research of human cultures by established scientists and new contributors alike. Comparative databases are especially welcome for submission. Authors published in the journal retain copyrights to their submitted works. The journal does not edit submissions other than for the correction of errors.
