When was Kent Hovind arrested?

Evangelist Kent Hovind was arrested for federal tax violations on July 14, 2006. Hovind had previously been arrested for assault and battery in 2002, but the charges against him in that case were eventually dropped.

Hovind was found guilty on 58 counts related to tax violations on November 3, 2006, and was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison on January 20, 2007. He was found guilty on contempt of court charges in March 2015, but was still serving time in prison for the tax violations, so no arrest was made in that situation. He was released from prison in July 2015.
