Group dynamics is the behaviors and mental processes that happen in or between groups of people. Group dynamics is studied in many fields including psychology, anthropology and political science.
The interaction between different people and groups can reveal a lot about people. It gives a window into how people perceive other individuals and situations. Group dynamics is a very important role in understanding forms of discrimination like racism and sexism. Studying whole groups, or communities of people, can give a lot of insight into how decisions are made and how majority rule influences the individuals in the group. It can also be helpful when trying to understand the past and how people lived.
