The Taoism place of worship is a temple and these temples can be located in many different places. Taoism followers will come to the temple to perform rituals for their deities and to meditate as well as chant ancient prayers.

The Taoist have a complex set of rituals that are technical and nature so that they can only be performed by priests while the temple goers watch. The rituals require that the priests and the priest's assistants must chant, dance and play various instruments. One such ritual of the Taoist people is called "chiao" and includes seven different rituals. The chiao is performed to help with the rite of cosmic renewal.
