Why would a GE dryer only dry clothes on higher settings?
By Forinfos - 22/06/2025 - 0 comments
When a GE dryer appears to only dry clothing efficiently on a high setting, there may be an obstruction in the ductwork, the lint filter may need to be cleaned, or there may be too many items in the dryer. If the washer malfunctions, the clothing may be too wet.
Improper sorting may cause clothing to take longer dry, such as when heavy, hard-to-dry items are mixed with lightweight items. Further, if the dryer is hooked up to a 120-volt circuit instead of a 240-volt circuit, drying time can be up to three times as long.
If none of these common troubleshooting options work, professional service with a GE repair technician may be necessary to determine the exact cause of the problem.
