Why wouldn't I use Vonage as a business phone service?

There are a number of reasons not to use a service such as Vonage for a business telephone service, but the main one is lack of sound quality. Vonage and other similar services rely on voice-over-IP technology, which can effect the quality of calls.

Depending on the type and size of a business, the Vonage service may not be feasible due to the fact that each setup supplies only a single telephone number. In order to have a multiline business phone system, multiple devices are required. Other services such as Skype and MagicJack have similar problems and usually are not considered for business purposes.
