How do you write a research objective?

Research objectives should be written so that they match up with the statement of the problem and the desired achievement of the study. They are important because they narrow the focus of a study, state the variables and include the limits to the study.
Research objectives can be either objective or specific, depending on the nature of the study. If the study is complex, then it may be wise to create specific research objectives. Whatever the research objectives are, they need to be measurable. Action verbs are recommended for research objectives rather than vague nonaction verbs. The latter are difficult to evaluate, making it difficult to judge whether the research objectives have been met.
