The Xbox 360 was originally conceived in early 2003, and the system was launched on Nov. 22, 2005. In February 2003, planning for the software platform began. The console was shaped from then until it was officially unveiled on May 12, 2005.
The project was initially known as Xbox Next, Xenon, Xbox 2, Xbox FS or NextBox. It was headed by Microsoft's Vice President J Allard. The processor, called the Xenon, was the first thing developed.
