Why is Yahoo so slow?

Website loading speed, including that of Yahoo, is largely dependent upon multiple settings and the equipment used by the Web surfer. These factors include the operating speed of a person's computer, Internet service provider speed and various browser settings.

The speed at which website pages load is mostly a reflection of what the user is utilizing to access the page. For example, working on an older computer or utilizing a dial-up modem will cause Yahoo to load slowly. Other factors include the modem that is being used, Wi-Fi connection strength or any spyware or malware on the computer. Settings within the Web browser or a full cache can also be the culprit of slow loading times.
