When is Yolanda Saldivar getting out of prison?

Yolanda Saldivar is eligible for parole from the Mountain View prison facility in Gatesville, Texas, on March 30, 2025. Saldivar is serving a life sentence for the first-degree murder of Tejano singer Selena Quintanilla-Pérez.

Saldivar murdered Selena on March 31, 1995, in a hotel in Corpus Christi, Texas. Saldivar went on trial and received the maximum sentence in Harris County in October 1995. As of 2015, Saldivar does not have a scheduled release date. The Texas Department of Criminal Justice does not schedule a release type and location for an inmate until setting a release date. Saldivar is eligible for visitation privileges while in prison.
