The Zap electric bicycle, a product sold by Perth-based Zap Bikes, is designed to incorporate various technological features into a smart design system. The Zap electric bicycle's technological features include a torque sensor that controls power, a keyless radio frequency identification start system and a lighter-than-average frame.

The Zap electric bicycle can reach up to approximately 40 miles in travel distance on a single electrical charge. All of the electrical components used in this product are placed within a completely sealed housing section. Zap Bikes was established in 2010 by its three founders George Tuffin, Paul Rankin and Steve Dimov.
