What is a zebra's habitat?
By Forinfos - 21/08/2025 - 0 comments
The remaining species of zebras live in habitats that include coastal hills, savannas and semi-arid grasslands, mountains and woodlands. Many zebra habitats, as of 2014, are shrinking due to farming and ranching expansion.
There are three species of zebra: Burchell's, or plains, zebras, mountain zebras and Grévy's zebras. Plains zebras are more plentiful than the other species and live in open woodlands, savannas and mountainous areas from Kenya and Ethiopia south to South Africa. Grévy's zebras are the most scarce and only occupy the arid sub-desert regions of northern Kenya and southern Ethiopia. Mountains zebras inhabit the hilly and mountainous biomes along the coasts of Namibia and South Africa.
