Technically, both are fans. What is commonly referred to as a blower is actually a centrifugal fan, and what most people think of as a fan is an axial fan. A blower is able to use higher pressure compared to an axial fan due to the design of its casing.\nThe blower brings air in through an inlet. The air fills a central area where centrifugal force pressurizes it. The air is then thrown into the blower?s housing and expelled. The direction in which it exits is at a right angle to the direction in which it enters.\nThe direction of an axial fan?s airflow is linear, with the air passing straight..

Though chlorine can be used to shock a pond, it can also harm desired plant and animal life. Algaecide can diminish the amount of algae in the pool while leaving other living things alone. Excess algae tends to rob fish and other plant life of necessary oxygen, creating decaying material that feeds the cycle for more algae growth. Lowering water temperature can also inhibit the growth of algae. Water temperature can be lowered by shading the pond.
