The 1974 Roosevelt dime is a common coin, with mints at the time producing approximately 470,248,000 total coins. This figure only reflects the number reported to have been minted in 1974, not those still in circulation.
With zero percent silver content, this coin is only of use to collectors, or as general currency. A coin in poor condition worth no more than face value, while a rarer P version might sell for around up to $2. The Roosevelt dime came into creation after the death of President Roosevelt in 1946. Up until 1964, these coins were 90 percent silver, and ten percent copper. The modern Roosevelt dime is 75 percent copper and 25 percet nickel.
