What is a 32:1 mixing ratio between gas and water?

A mixing ratio is how much of one substance you should use in relation to another. A 32:1 mixing ratio for gasoline and water means that for every 1 ounce of water, there should be 32 ounces, or 1 quart, of gasoline.
There are 128 ounces in 1 gallon, 32 ounces in 1 quart and 8 ounces in 1 cup. Gasoline solutions are common for automotive work, and most of them require an additive to a gallon of gasoline. For example, 1 gallon of gasoline is 128 ounces, and dividing that by the ratio of 32 results in four, which is how many ounces of water would be added.
