How do you activate a NetSpend card?

In order to activate a NetSpend card, click on the "Activate Your Card" link on the home page of the NetSpend website and create a user account, or call (866) 387-7363, as of 2015. After activating the card, users can then add money to their prepaid card.

NetSpend cards are prepaid debit cards that customers can use in place of cash, credit or other debit cards. To open an account with NetSpend:

1. Sign up for an account

Visit the NetSpend website and click on the "Sign Up Now" link and supply a name and address.

2. Activate the card

The card should arrive in the mail within 7 to 10 days. Visit the activation page and enter the card number and security code. Then create an online account.

3. Deposit money

Add money to the card's account by transferring from other accounts, setting up direct deposit or visiting a reload network station.
