The Sedgwick County Zoo features many daily activities and special events. As of 2015, the zoo features more than 3,000 animals, including a large exhibit at the Downing Gorilla Forest. The Museum of Wonders features a large Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton, Egyptian mummies and a large collection of military artifacts. The museum also features an exhibit about the American frontier. Frank Lloyd Wright designed the Allen House in 1915, and now Wichita State University uses it as a restoration project, a study center and a museum to the architect's influence on the field.
