What are some activities at Wurstfest in New Braunfels?

Held in New Braunfels, Texas during the month of November, Wurstfest celebrates German culture with traditional food, music, dancing and carnival rides, according to Wurstfest. The festival also includes a beer garden where visitors can indulge in a variety of craft brews and a marketplace featuring Bavarian goods.

A traditional Bavarian endurance competition called Masskrugstemmen is also held several times during the festival. Contestants compete to demonstrate who can hold a one-liter stein of beer, weighing about five pounds, the longest. The contestant who is able to keep the beer stein parallel to the ground without spilling for the longest time wins.
