The adult dosing instructions for Benadryl Allergy Liqui-Gels are one to two capsules every four to six hours, but not more than six doses in 24 hours, states McNeil Consumer Healthcare. Adults can apply Benadryl Itch Stopping Cream, spray or gel to areas affected up to four times daily.
Consumers are to use Benadryl Itch Stopping Gel Extra Strength only on the skin, not by mouth. The product relieves itching due to insect bites and rashes. Benadryl Itch Stopping Spray Extra Strength contains 2 percent diphenhydramine HCI and 0.1 percent zinc acetate. Consumers are cautioned not to use more than one Benadryl diphenhydramine product within the same period of time, according to McNeil Consumer Healthcare.
