How to take advantage of a GE Profile microwave recall?

Owners of GE Profile microwave ovens that are subject to recall must call the GE recall hotline to take advantage of the recall. Owners may choose a free repair, a $300 rebate towards a GE unit or a $600 rebate to purchase a new Profile unit, as of March 2015.

The GE Profile microwave recall applies to microwave combo wall ovens sold under Kenmore, GE and GE Profile brands. Units affected by this recall were sold between January 2000 and December 2003. To determine whether a Profile microwave is subject to the recall, owners must check to see if the product in question is listed on the Consumer Product Safety Commission list.
