Do African dwarf frogs shed?

African dwarf frogs shed their skins regularly. They usually eat the shed skins and often eat any other kind of organic detritus, which are the remnants of organisms.
African dwarf frogs are native to the Congo region of Africa. They are completely aquatic, although they have lungs and must surface to breathe. They grow up to 2 1/2 inches in length and can live up to 20 years, though two to six years is more typical. They are popular as first pets for children because they are easy to care for. In the wild, African dwarf frogs are scavengers, but pet frogs can be fed pellets. These animals should be handled with care because they can transmit salmonella bacteria.
