Some of Africa's traditional foods include bunny chow, venison, potjiekos and stew, piri piri chicken and native fish. Traditional African cuisine is centered heavily around meats, stews and seafood, with root vegetables often on the side.
Bunny chow is a half loaf of bread filled with spicy curry, introduced to Africa by Indian laborers. Venison is a popular food choice in Africa, specifically the Namibian venison, which samples zebra, ostrich and warthog meats. Potijiekos and stew is a beef, chicken and mutton stew cooked in a cast-iron pot. Piri piri chicken is chicken with garlic, lime and piri piri sauce added. African cuisine also features seafood with native fish, such as the Kapenta.
