What do people wear in the Caribbean?

People in the Caribbean tend to wear lightweight clothing due to the warm weather. Lightweight pants and shorts are common.

Women in the Caribbean tend to wear dresses and skirts made from cotton and silk. They also wear t-shirts and blouses made of these materials. Men tend to wear slacks or shorts along with button-up shirts or t-shirts. They may also wear hats to keep their heads covered. Shoes such as sandals, flip-flops and sneakers are common. When the weather turns colder or during the latter part of the day, lightweight jackets or lighter sweaters become popular for a touch of warmth.
