What is the age requirement for obtaining a Golden Age Passport for federal campgrounds?

The age requirement for the Senior Pass, which is the replacement for the Golden Age passport, is 62 years old, according to the National Park Service. It is also necessary to be a United States citizen or permanent resident.

In January 2007, the National Park Service began issuing the Senior Pass. As of 2015, the pass costs $10.00, and pass holders have access to more than 2,000 sites. Golden Age Passports are still valid for a lifetime, and the Senior Pass is not transferable. The Senior Pass is available online from USGS.gov or in person at one of the participating parks.
