The Reading A-Z program is intended for children in kindergarten through sixth grade, according to the program's website. Therefore, the appropriate ages are from 5 to 13.

The Reading A-Z program offers 27 levels of reading difficulty so that teachers can find the perfect reading assignments for their students. In 2012, Reading A-Z was voted as the number one teacher website by K-5 teachers. ReadingA-Z.com has over a thousand printable books, materials for literature circles, phonics resources and lessons. Launched in January 2002, the program has won several educational awards over the years, and it also offers programs for special education.
