As of 2014, Hawaiian Airlines has the best record for on-time flights among American carriers. Hawaiian's record of 93.34 percent of flights arriving with fifteen minutes of their scheduled touch-down time is nearly 20 percent better than the industry average of 77.34 percent.

Hawaiian Airlines ranked first in on-time flights for 20 years straight, between 2004 and 2014. This is helped by the relatively small number of destinations to which the airline flies, none of which have regular weather delays. Other airlines with good records for on-time flights include Alaska Airlines at 87.25 percent, Delta Airlines at 83.16 percent and Virgin America at 81.45 percent.
