Several airlines offer senior citizens discounted ticket prices, including Southwest and United Airlines. These airlines are unique in that they routinely offer discounts to elderly travelers.

Continental Airlines also gives reduced priced tickets to seniors, but only on limited routes, which are determined by the airline. American Airlines has senior discounts, but only occasionally. Customers must contact the airline to ascertain if a discount is available during the time period for which they wish to travel.

Two requirements for all of these airlines is that the traveler must be at least 65 years old, and they have to present proof of age at the time of ticket purchase.
