What do Alaskan Malamutes eat?
By Forinfos - 09/11/2025 - 0 comments
The best and easiest food to feed an Alaskan Malamute is dry dog food. The food should be between 21 and 24 percent protein and contain between 10 to 14 percent fat.
A dog's diet should consist of at least 90 percent dog food. Table scraps, such as vegetables, raw muscle meat, cheese, gravy, chicken and cooked organ meat are beneficial additions to the dog's diet as long as they are used in moderation. Adding additional fat to an Alaskan Malamute's diet is also recommended, as this helps keep her coat healthy, provides her with energy and aids in the absorption of vitamins. Also, it is important to have water available at all times during the day for any dog.
