Alla Pugacheva was born in Moscow, Russia. She was born on April 14, 1949 to Boris Mikhailovich Pugachev, a shoe factory manager, and Zinaida Arkhipovna, a housewife. She has one younger brother, Evgeni Borisovich Pugachev.

Alla Pugacheva was one of the most famous entertainers of Soviet Russia. Her career began at the famous Pillar Hall of Palace of Unions in Moscow, where she made her first public performance at age five. Since then, she has recorded numerous albums and made many film appearances. In 1991, she was named "The People's Artist of the USSR," in honor of her legacy as a popular entertainer.
