What is the annual deadline for Medicare enrollment for seniors?
By Forinfos - 20/05/2025 - 0 comments
The annual enrollment period for Medicare runs from Oct. 15 to Dec. 7, making Dec. 7 the deadline, notes Kaiser Permanente. However, seniors who choose to sign up for a five-star plan, turn 65 and qualify for coverage, or involuntarily leave another group health plan can enroll at any time.
On Oct. 1, providers offering Medicare plans release premium and benefit information for the next year, so potential enrollees are ready to start signing up on Oct. 15. During the enrollment period, applicants can join, change or drop prescription drug plans, add a Part D prescription coverage, and join a Medicare Cost plan in addition to other new registrations and changes, as stated by Kaiser Permanente.
