This injection has several side effects, as it may lead to severe high blood pressure, pulmonary hypertension, pulmonary vasoconstriction and pulmonary edema, as stated by DailyMed. Several factors associated with this injection include overdose and repeated doses. People who are allergic to fish need to inform the doctor prior to receiving this injection. Also, patients who have undergone a vasectomy need to tell the doctor.
