Jean-Antoine Lavoisier and Émilie Punctis were Antoine Lavoisier's parents. His father was a French parliamentary counsel, and his mother was the daughter of a wealthy attorney. Lavoisier's mother died when he was only 5 years old. He was then raised by his father and his maternal aunt, Constance Punctis.
