The Argentine grassland, known locally as the pampas, is a grassland biome of South America. It is an area of 300,000 square miles of fertile flat lands from the Atlantic Ocean to the Andes Mountains.
The pampas are located between 34 and 30 degrees south latitude and 57 and 63 degrees west longitude. The climate of the pampas is mostly temperate and mild with rainfall occurring throughout the year, making them a fertile ground for agriculture. They are famous for cattle farming and vineyards. Due to extensive farming, the pampas are considered to be one of the most endangered habitats on Earth.
