What are articles of incorporation?
By Forinfos - 10/03/2025 - 0 comments
Articles of incorporation are a set of documents filed within a state to formalize a corporation. Although specific requirements vary, the names, contact information and share allocation for each founder of the corporation are among the common elements.
It is also common that articles of incorporation filers must state the intent of the business. A broader statement of purpose allows more flexibility when operating the business to stay in line with documentation. Articles are filed with the Secretary of State's office. Many documents ask the filers to indicate the roles of different people within the company, such as board members and executives.
