Is Ashworth College accredited?

Ashworth College is accredited by the Distance Education Accrediting Commission. It has national accreditation rather than regional accreditation. Credits and degrees from regionally accredited institutions are more frequently eligible for transfer to other schools and may be more desirable to employers evaluating job applicants' educational credentials.

The U.S. Department of Education recognizes Ashworth College's accrediting agency. Accreditation verifies that schools meet certain standards, but not all self-described accrediting agencies have themselves met the standards that make accreditation from them valuable.
