Is automatic transmission standard on a Volkswagen Beetle?

For the 2015 model year, Volkswagen's lowest-end edition of the Beetle, the Beetle Classic, comes with a six-speed automatic transmission. This model, however, is only available with one exterior color, Pearl White, and one interior design, black with brown trim and checkered seats. This model has no available add-on packages.

All other models in the Beetle line up come standard with a five-speed manual transmission, and customers must pay to upgrade to the automatic. These models, however, allow customers to choose from a variety of exterior colors, interior designs, engine types, add-on packages and exterior design elements, such as spoilers, different-sized rims and sun roofs.
