What is the average cost of registration with AYSO soccer?

AYSO, the American Youth Soccer Organization, charges its registered member organizations a fee of $17.50 per player, as of 2015. This is the only direct fee associated with joining the AYSO. However, teams may incur other costs during the registration process, such as those associated with securing a playing field.

The player fee of $17.50 supports a variety of the American Youth Soccer Organization's functions, such as education, training, risk management, communications and that national office's operations.

In addition to the fee, registering organizations have to provide six to eight available volunteers, children who are playing in the organization and fields where organization members can play.
