Users can opt out of installing the AVG Safeguard toolbar when installing other AVG products, though many users have complained that it installs automatically when downloading the 2014 version of AVG anti-virus and security programs. Citing heavy RAM usage that slows down computer systems and near-impossible uninstall options, many users find this toolbar to be "foistware" as opposed to a voluntary download.
