What is a baby parrot called?

Baby parrots are called chicks. The African gray parrot lays three to five eggs in a clutch. Eggs incubate for approximately 30 days. The female is primarily responsible for sitting on the eggs, although the male also takes turns.
When parrot chicks hatch, they have a thin layer of down on their backs but are otherwise completely naked. After hatching, their eyes remain closed for the first two weeks, and they begin to develop pinfeathers. Pinfeathers are thin and pointy, but eventually become adult feathers. In some species, the adult feathers are brightly colored. The chicks remain in the nest for the next month, with the father providing food until they fly off to form families of their own.
