It is inadvisable to take B vitamins at night because doing so can interfere with sleep, according to Mother Nature Network. Vitamin C is another vitamin that is best avoided at night to prevent sleep issues, notes Natural News; however, people often take calcium at night because it promotes sleep.
Multivitamins and many other vitamins are best taken in the morning with food to give them the best chance of being absorbed by the body throughout the day, advises Mother Nature Network. Fat-soluble vitamins, such as vitamins A, D, E and K, are best consumed with meals that include fat to aid absorption.
