As of 2015, Aer Lingus does not offer a free checked baggage allowance when a passenger flies within Europe on an economy fare. However, the company provides a checked baggage allowance of a single bag weighing up to 23 kilograms on transatlantic flights for passengers with an economy fare ticket.
Passengers with a business class ticket receive a free bag allowance of up to three bags weighing a total of 69 kilograms on transatlantic flights, while business class ticket holders flying within Europe check a single bag weighing up to 20 kilograms for free. Aer Lingus allows all passengers to exceed the free bag limit for a fee determined by the number, weight and size of the bag.
