Which bait can be used to catch tilapia?

Nightcrawlers, earthworms and bread will attract tilapia. Live nightcrawlers and earthworms are good for those who prefer to use live bait while bread is easy and cheap to use.
When using live baits, the hook is pushed through the bait completely so that it is secure and the hook is fully exposed. When using bread, however, the bread is molded into a ball, and the hook is buried in the bread so that it is easier to secure it to the hook. Bread bait is not as secure on the hook as live worms, but moistening the bread before putting it on the hook, adding a bit of cheese to the bait or freezing the bread balls overnight can help.
