What is a bald taper?

A bald taper is a super short haircut generally worn by men. It is usually cut close to the skin at the lowest point of the taper. Barbers or hairstylists typically develop a gradient, allowing for hair to be a little longer higher up into the haircut.
There is no shelf or weight line with a tapered style, which is created using an abrupt cutting technique that causes a perceptible line to appear. In a bald taper, the hair is perfectly blended throughout the style. In fact, most men's styles employ tapers in the nape or just above the ears. In some styles, tapers are utilized higher up into the style.
