How tall is a bald eagle?
By Forinfos - 28/03/2025 - 0 comments
Bald eagles range from 34 to 43 inches from head to foot, with females being larger than the males. Their wingspan ranges from 6 to 8 feet long.
Bald eagles were nearly wiped out from hunting and pesticides but made a comeback after DDT use was restricted in 1972. Bald eagles are primarily found in Canada and Alaska and prefer to nest near coasts and lakes, as they fish effectively with their talons. Eagles also scavenge kills from other animals and hunt small animals such as rodents or other birds as necessary. They have a life span of 20 to 30 years in the wild and live even longer in captivity.
