Some basic math formulas include finding the average, geometry formulas (e.g., the perimeter of a square, area of a triangle, volume of a cylinder), the Pythagorean Theorem and Trigonometry formulas (e.g. Sine, Cosine, Tangent).

For example, the average is calculated by the formula: sum divided by how many numbers there are in the set.

The perimeter of a square is expressed as: s + s + s + s, where 's' is the length of one side.

The area of a triangle is expressed as: 1/2(b)(h), where 'b' is the length of the base and 'h' is the height of the triangle.
