What is a battery substitution chart?
By Forinfos - 06/01/2026 - 0 comments
A battery substitution chart, also called a battery cross-reference guide, shows which types of batteries made by different manufacturers correspond to each other and can be used interchangeably. Some manufacturers, such a Duracell, make their own cross-reference guides. Guides are also available by type of battery.
For example, users can find cross-reference guides specifically for watch batteries, hearing aid batteries and lithium batteries. Information included in these guides includes the battery name, such as AA, and other names used for the same type of battery, such as Double A, R6 and AM3. Guides also typically include the size and shape of the battery and its voltage.
