How does someone make hair naturally curly?

There are six main methods for curling hair naturally, including braiding and twisting, velcro rollers, tissue papers and buns. However, braiding is the easiest method.

• Braids
Braiding in small, tight braids from the scalp all the way to the end will result in tight, tiny curls. Dividing the hair into four or five sections and making large, loose braids will give large curls. Simply braid hair when damp and leave in overnight. Take out the braids the next morning.
• Buns
Tying hair up into a bun can curl hair. Simply pull damp hair up into a loose or tight bun (tight bun for tight curls, loose bun for loose curls) and leave until dried.
• Sock bun
Taking a sock, make an "x" cut in the toe, then roll it down until it looks like a doughnut to make a sock "platform". Simply pull damp hair through the doughnut, roll it up against the head and secure until dried.
• Velcro rollers
Simply roll damp hair (section sizes based on what curls are desired) into velcro rollers. Blow with hot air for five minutes, then cold for five minutes. Take out fifteen minutes later.
• Squirrel rolls
Take small pieces of damp hair and twist one way until completely against the scalp. Secure and let dry.
• Tissue paper
Taking tissue paper, fold longways until it's a small thick strip. Taking damp hair, pinch it against the strip and roll up to scalp. Tie off gently and let it sit until dry.
