Do bed bugs live outside?
By Forinfos - 25/03/2025 - 0 comments
Bedbugs are able to live and survive outdoors, provided that it is not freezing cold. They freeze to death and cannot survive in temperatures below 25 degree Fahrenheit. Bedbugs seek human hosts and warmth inside; however, when they are outside, they can feed on mice, rats and other animals.
Bedbugs are extremely resilient insects. They are able to survive for months, sometimes longer in cooler months, without feeding on blood. They are nocturnal insects, and they feed at night when their hosts are sleeping or resting. Inside residential homes, they prefer to hide under the mattress near their hosts. When they are not feeding, they live in dark crevices and cracks.
